Week Two Online Activities - Please use until the course shell is loaded. When the shell is ready, switch over right away!

 

Please note: The school approved our Tuesday night (August 5th) make-up session for the Week 5 class I have to miss. We will meet that night on the ELEVENTH floor. in room 11B. Please be aware the elevators can no longer go up to this floor after 7pm, but we can use the elevators to descend any time. So you must arrive before 7:00pm, and you must not leave the eleventh floor during break or you won't have access to go back!

1.  Required: Evaluative Essay CritiqueRead Elayne Rapping’s evaluation of the “Eyewitness News” (Reid, 333 – 338, Fifth Edition or pp. 359-364, Sixth Edition).  What are her criteria for evaluating news? What judgments does she make for each criterion? What support does she provide?  Is her evaluation fair and effective?  Why or why not?
